Artisanal ice cream brand Elato, has had its Triple Vanilla product selected as the best vanilla ice cream in supermarkets by Good Food, ahead of 10 major brands, including multinationals.
The recent accolade comes on the back of another number one vanilla selection for this flavour from Delicious Magazine and top five vanilla from Gourmet Traveller. The brand was also recently featured on Channel 9’s Today Show, highlighting Elato’s success, high quality and 30 per cent less sugar content.
“Our Triple Vanilla Ice Cream uses an overnight infusion of ground vanilla pods and Madagascar vanilla seeds as well as using concentrated vanilla extract to achieve its rich and distinctive triple vanilla taste,” says Elato Founder and Product Developer Roz Kaldor-Aroni.
“We use so much vanilla that our ice cream isn’t white and sets our product apart from all the other pure white vanilla ice creams in the supermarket.”
If winning on flavour wasn’t enough, Elato’s also achieves the holy grail of being both delicious and healthier, boasting added protein and fibre amongst its long list of product features.
The premium ice cream brand prides itself in offering a range of “better for you” product features without compromising on taste or texture. Elato is also committed to being a sustainable brand and a force for good by sourcing delicious flavours from social enterprises committed to sustainability, fair trade and a positive social impact as well as giving 50 per cent of the brand’s profits to support food rescue non-profit organisation OzHarvest.
To date, over 24,000 meals having been donated to OzHarvest. Elato is also certified as a social enterprise by Social Traders.
