The orange snakes in Allen’s Snakes Alive will be changing from apricot to passionfruit flavour, meeting changing consumer preference.
Joining the Allen’s Snakes Alive ripe roster of strawberry, blackberry, lemon, and pineapple flavours, the new passionfruit flavour will replace apricot, which was the least preferred flavour of consumers according to a recent survey.
The Allen’s team turned to Aussie tastebuds in the search for the perfect bag of Snakes Alive, with the new passionfruit flavour now ranking equal first alongside fan favourite, the strawberry red snake.
“We know Aussies are passionate about great tasting lollies, so we’re keen to bring them the most delicious bag of snakes,” said Nestlé Head of Marketing Confectionery, Melanie Chen.
“We went on a mission to find the ultimate flavour for the orange snake and listened to lolly lovers who crowned passionfruit as their preferred flavour when tested against other orange snake flavours.”
Allen’s went to the NSW town of Orange to gain their lolly-lovers’ tick of approval on the new orange flavour. Check out what the people of Orange had to say here.
The new passionfruit flavoured snake will start rolling out as part of the Allen’s Snakes Alive bag at supermarkets around the country from mid-April, RRP $5 for a 200g bag.
