ALDI supporting Camp Quality this month

ALDI’s Camp Quality Special Buys range will make its return this week, with a portion of each sale going to the children’s cancer charity.

September is Camp Quality Month at ALDI, and the launch of the range helps raise awareness and much needed funds for ALDI’s national charity partner during Childhood Cancer Awareness Month. The retailer is even going a step further and will match all customers’ donations made to Camp Quality at the register or online, up to the value of $100,000 for the whole of September.

New to this year’s range are the specially designed children’s clogs ($6.99) and socks (2pk, $3.99).

The fan favourites are also back this year, including a durable double wall drink bottle ($8.99), and children’s foldable sunglasses ($7.99).

The “ever popular” unisex bucket hats ($7.99) are reversible making them “twice as nice”. 100% of proceeds from the sale of the hats will be donated to Camp Quality.

“Whether it’s donning a bucket hat or donating at the register, since launching our national partnership with Camp Quality in 2020, we have collectively raised over $6.7 million for Camp Quality,” says ALDI Australia Director of National Sustainability Daniel Baker.

“This is only possible thanks to the incredible support of our customers, employees and business partners who have helped enable over 7000 kids facing cancer to attend a Camp Quality recreational program.”

Camp Quality supports children (0-15 years) dealing with their own cancer diagnosis, or the diagnosis of a sibling or parent. Its services and programs give kids and their families a break from cancer away from hospital, providing opportunities to reconnect and make happy memories on camps, family getaways and fun days. The charity also offers age-appropriate educational services, specialised cancer care, counselling, and a supportive community.

“We strive to be a source of positivity, fun and laughter for kids impacted by cancer, whether it’s their own diagnosis or that of a loved one,” says Camp Quality CEO Deborah Thomas.

“Through donations from ALDI Australia, including it’s the Camp Quality Special Buys range, we can support kids at every stage of their cancer journey. We look forward to seeing ALDI shoppers rally behind this cause as they have done for the last four years.”
