In response to growing demand for nutritious snacks that integrate exotic flavours with premium and healthy ingredients, for its new Falafel Chips, the Wholesome Food Company has taken 21 herbs, spices, legumes and vegetables and blended them to create an authentic falafel taste.
“Through our innovative baking process, we’ve eliminated the need to cover the chip in flavouring – no more messy hands – without sacrificing taste,” Mr Hunter said.
Available in Original and Chilli flavours, the chips are claimed to pack a significant antioxidant punch, with both variants having been measured for their antioxidant capacity, and gram for gram, offer more than five times that of green tea, and more than double that of goji berries.
“Certified gluten free and produced without the use of GMO ingredients, preservatives or any added MSG, these Australian made snacks are a source of dietary fibre and are allergen free,” Mr Hunter said.
Both variants are available at Coles supermarkets nationally and will
be ranged at independent supermarkets soon after. The launch will be supported with a radio and digital media campaign commencing late this month.
