On Thursday 15 October, Technical Officer at HIVERY, Andy McQuarrie and co-founder, Matt Robards will be speaking at the Databricks APAC Industry Leadership Forums.
Backed by The Coca-Cola Company, CSIRO and Blackbird Ventures, HIVERY is pioneering hyper-local retailing.
HIVERY uses data science and AI to offer hyperlocal retail recommendations on product assortment, space allocation and promotion.
During the presentation Mr McQuarrie and Dr Robards will cover:
- Why optimising shelf space is a $984bn annual opportunity for retailers;
- How they use prescriptive modelling to inform retailers of the right products, price and promotional activities to be using in their space;
- The ‘cannibalisation’ effect of removing certain products from stores and the influence that has on customer behaviour;
- The algorithm they use to identify customer groups from sales figures and how they can apply this to other stores nationwide.
HIVERY works consumer packaged goods (CPG) manufacturers and retailers including the likes of The Coca-Cola Company, Walmart and Kirin.
