Wild Turkey has added its first flavoured variant to its American Honey range with the special edition launch of American Honey Sting.
Wild Turkey’s Jimmy Russell says drinkers will be surprised by the combination of the smoothness of American Honey with a hint of ghost pepper chilli for a unique flavour.
“I think American Honey fans are going to get a kick out of how well the heat of the ghost pepper chilli perfectly combines with the honey flavour,” he said. “When you take a sip, you get the forward flavour smoothness and citrus of American Honey, followed by the ghost pepper chilli that has a subtle heat to it.”
Mr Russell pioneered the flavoured bourbon category in 1976 with the creation of American Honey, then known as Wild Turkey Honey Liqueur, which paved the way for the growth in this sector.
American Honey Marketing Director Nicole Stanners said the introduction of Sting builds on the brand’s reputation as innovator.
“Initial trends in flavoured whiskey tended towards honey, but we’re now seeing hotter, spicier flavours emerging,” she said. “American Honey Sting, with its infusion of ghost pepper chilli, combines these trends for a unique offer.”
American Honey Sting 750ml is available in a special edition gift box for $49.99 RRP, while stocks last.
