Woolworths Chancellor Park upgrade commences

Shoppers in the Sippy Downs area of the Sunshine Coast will soon enjoy a revamped Woolworths supermarket as work on a $6.7 million, four-month extension and refurbishment gets underway.

The upgrades to the store in the Chancellor Park Marketplace Shopping Centre will provide enhanced choice and convenience for customers, including improvements to the delicatessen, bakery, seafood, and fruit and vegetables department. Furthermore, the extension will increase the store size by more than 680sqm.

The store will have new LED lighting, and the new aisle signage throughout the supermarket will help shoppers get around the store. The supermarket entrance will be redesigned to allow easier customer access, the layout for the check-out area has been improved and additional traditional and self‐service check-outs installed to ensure customers can pay for their items quickly and get on with their day.

Woolworths Chancellor Park Store Manager Kaine Marra says the store is proud of the role it plays in the community.

“We are delighted our local Woolies will be upgraded to create one of Australia’s most modern supermarkets,” she said. “These improvements will showcase our fresh Australian fruit, vegetables and meat, inspiring meal ideas, a wide choice of healthy options and a huge range of grocery items at great prices.”

Throughout the revamp, customers can continue to shop at the store during the usual trading hours of 8am to 9pm Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm Saturday, and 9am to 6pm Sunday.

The investment is part of a wider refurbishment program of Woolworths stores across the country.
