                 COLES APPOINTS EDITOR OF COLES&CO PLATFORM NEWS  Coles has appointed food and wine publisher Lisa Hudson as the Editor of coles&co, the new online platform designed to inspire customers with value specials and exclusive content. Coles says Ms Hudson, with more than 20 years at the helm of some of Australia’s best-read food and drink titles, will ensure customers have useful information at their fingertips that will help them feed their families on a budget, stay healthy and entertain loved ones at special times of the year. Coles Chief Marketing Officer Lisa Ronson says she is excited to see the direction Ms Hudson will take coles&co, with more relevant and entertaining content informed by her extensive experience in the food and wine industry. Ms Hudson will “help launch coles&co and create a really compelling platform to engage with our customers on what is happening in the food and drink industry, whether that be in our stores, on the farm with local food producers or with our Own Brand development chefs in our Coles kitchens”, says Ms Ronson said. With experience building online food and wine communities, Ms Hudson has spent almost five years as the head of Qantas Wine and was the general manager of food and wine at Fairfax Media where she was responsible for editorial content and the growth of food and wine publications nationally, including the Good Food Guides and Epicure. “I’m passionate about delivering an exceptional customer experience and celebrating everything that our food and wine industry has to offer,” said Ms Hudson, who joined Coles late last month. “Coles&co is a really exciting platform to highlight the amazing work of Australian chefs and local food and beverage producers. To be in a position to inform Australians about how they can live healthier and happier lives is a real privilege. Coles has some incredible partnerships and I can’t wait to work with the team.” Ms Hudson will “help launch coles&co and  create a really compelling platform to engage  with our customers on what is happening in  the food and drink industry”.   COLES EXPRESS SUPPORTING REDKITE THIS MONTH “We know a child’s cancer  treatment doesn’t stop for  Covid-19, so there’s never  been a more important time  to support Redkite.”  A national fundraiser is underway at Coles Express supporting children’s cancer charity Redkite. During September, five cents from the sale of select Coles Express products has been going towards funding critical online counselling, financial assistance and discounted fuel and grocery vouchers for families facing childhood cancer. Coles Express Executive General Manager Michael Courtney says every Coles Express team member is proud to be providing a vital service to the community. “Our team members are working tirelessly to help families and essential workers get to where they need to go during this pandemic,” he said. “We know a child’s cancer treatment doesn’t stop for Covid-19, so there’s never been a more important time to support Redkite through the sale of these products at our 718 Coles Express sites across Australia.” Redkite CEO Monique Keighery says that more than ever before, families were reaching out for support, and Redkite’s phone and video counselling and financial assistance were proving to be essential to families. “Every day, parents are making the journey to and from hospital for their child’s cancer treatment under the shadow of Covid-19,” she said. “What was already an unimaginably stressful time has been compounded because of this pandemic. “We’re seeing demand for our support services skyrocket, but thanks to the unwavering support of the Coles Express team and wonderful customers we’ll be able to meet the needs of families across the country who have a child with cancer.” Five cents from the sale of Coles Natural Spring Water, Coles Snow Drops, Coles Lamington Fingers, Coles Express Sausage Roll, Beef Pie, Egg & Bacon Pie, Butter Chicken Pie sold at Coles Express is going directly to Redkite until 23 September.
