EXPAND Awarded crackers now bite-sized Tucker’s Natural Gourmet Crackers now come in a bite-sized version. “Real aromatic rosemary and mineral- rich Australian rock salt is baked in to make this another award winner in the Tucker’s Natural range,” Tucker’s Natural CEO Sam Tucker said. “Team them with a good cheddar for a match made in Heaven.” The Tucker’s Natural Gourmet Crackers won the Champion Biscuit award at the 2018 Sydney Royal Fine Food Show. “Just taste and you’ll see why,” Mr Tucker said. The ‘energy-up, sugar-down’ bar KOJA Natural Peanut Butter Bar Chocolate is “a great way to get people out of their 3pm slump, and with under 4g of total sugar per bar, they’re a no brainer”, says KOJA founder Kate Johansson. The bar, which contains organic dark chocolate blended with Australian made peanut butter from Australian grown produce, is claimed to contain 75 per cent less sugar* than the average natural snack bar at 4.2g (with 155 calories and 4.1g of protein). “This makes for a balanced and sustainable energy boost without the sugar crash,” Ms Johannson said. The bar (RRP $3.50) is vegan and gluten free. *KOJA tested more than 20 natural snack bars. The average sugar content was 16g per bar. Lamington snack ‘game changer’ The Blue Dinosaur Lamington Snack Bar is made with raw organic cacao, organic vanilla bean and coconut. According to Blue Dinosaur Director Mike Watts-Seale, this bar will change a consumer’s perception of what health food should taste like, being made with only five wholefood ingredients but tasting just like a lamington. “And we mean just like a lamington,” he said. The plant-based bars (RRP $3.99) are promoted as being free of gluten, soy, dairy and preservatives, non-GMO and containing no added sugars, sweeteners or any artificial ingredients. Honey: I shrunk the GI level Capilano’s Low GI Honey has been endorsed by the Glycemic Index Foundation as low GI. This product fits well with consumers’ increasing focus on health, and offers a natural alternative to sugar, says Hive + Wellness spokesman, CEO Ryan d’Almeida. He adds that Low GI honey means even Australians on restricted diets have the chance to “savour the delicious taste” of 100 per cent pure Australian honey while maintaining a low GI level. “The natural sugar profile of this specially selected Australian honey influences the way it is digested in the body, and its certified low GI rating of 42.” ORGANIC SEP, 2020 RETAIL WORLD 55 your range
