THE BEVERAGE GUIDE To maximise the sales of non-alcoholic beverages this summer, Mr Andrade advises retailers to work closely with Edenvale’s dedicated team to deliver effective business trading plans and to align on key messaging within the non- alcoholic space. “In addition, retailers should be considering supporting the non-alcoholic beverages category by providing increased macro retail shelf space to account for the growing number of non-alcoholic products, brands, varietals and pack formats,” he said. This month, the company has launched the Edenvale Expedition Series, beginning with three new de-alcoholised wines made in Spain: a Tempranillo Cabernet Sauvignon, a Verdejo Sauvignon Blanc and a Spanish style Sparkling Cuvee made from Macabeo and Chardonnay grapes. “The new range is beautifully presented in a premium pack that speaks to our expedition concept,” Mr Andrade said, “with illustrations and colours bringing a distinctively Spanish flair.” Nippy’s still getting bigger, 50 years on Founded more than 50 years ago, Nippy’s is promoted as a loved and trusted beverage and fresh fruit producer, and is showing no signs of slowing down. The South Australian family-owned brand, which began humbly when 18-year-old Alic ‘Nippy’ Knispel cycled from Adelaide to the state’s Riverland region where he grew and picked citrus, today boasts three generations of growers and manufacturers and maintains a commitment to quality. “This commitment, paired with consistency found in Nippy’s range of fresh juices, dairy, fruit and other beverages, is born from simplicity,” Nippy’s Fruit Juices General Manager Sales Marketing and Distribution Frank Morena said. “By starting with quality ingredients, making Nippy’s products in much the same way they did in their mother’s kitchen through the 1960s, the Knispel family can stand by their strong and authentic brand with pride.” Nippy’s SA operations include its dairy processing plant in the Riverland town of Moorook, its juicing factory at Regency Park in northern Adelaide, and the 240-hectare orchard, citrus packing and processing complex in another Riverland town, Waikerie. The company was inducted into the South Australian Food Industry’s Hall of Fame last year. “While the Riverland is still the proud home of Nippy’s, where its sandy soils, abundant sunshine and clean, natural environment make it one of the best growing regions in Edenvale is Australia’s leading alcohol removed wine with the biggest range of varietals. We are all about removing what you don’t need, giving you the freedom to enjoy more. More fun, more energy, more joy, more laughter, more timeout, more summer. More time for the things that matter.
