EXPAND Bakery style pockets Mrs Mac’s Pastry Bakes are a pastry pocket filled with one of three fillings: Bacon, Egg & Cheese, Ham & Cheese, and Pulled Beef. Available in a two-pack, Pastry Bakes deliver a “bakery style look and finish”, making them a “delicious winter meal option”. The format originates from the UK, where Mrs Mac’s says they have become popular within the hot food category, rivalling pies and sausage rolls in terms of demand. Fed from the Earth Earth’s Cook’n’Create range of meatless proteins is aimed at inspiring and encouraging people to get creative in their kitchen. The range comprises Chickenless Schnitzel, Fishless Fingers, Meat- Free Sausages and Meatless Mince. Each product is plant-based and suitable for vegans. According to the brand, six in 10 Australians have tried or would like to try new- generation plant-based meats. Local indulgence Aussie Frozen Fruit’s frozen pineapples are picked at maturity to lock in ripeness and flavour, washed, peeled, cut, then snap frozen and sealed into packs. This process allows Australian consumers to enjoy Australian pineapples all year round. The “sweet, delicious and tropical flavour” of the frozen pineapples is promoted as being perfect in smoothies, sorbets, cocktails and desserts. Available in 400g packs, the pineapple variant joins Aussie Frozen Fruit’s established range comprising frozen blueberries, mixed berries, mangoes, and strawberries. FROZEN FOOD Smile, they’re back! McCain’s Smiles – “known by many and loved by all” – are back, this time in a quick-cook mini format. It has been 12 years since their original production run ceased and McCain Foods says it has been “inundated” with calls, social media requests and even a petition for the return of “this iconic snack”.
