Made with “premium quality, fresh ingredients and generous fillings”, the range provides consumers with “something more special”. Available at selected Woolworths stores in the chilled pasta aisle, the range retails at $8 and the sauce at $5.50. Sauce from ‘the best source’ Mutti products are promoted as being made from only the best Italian tomatoes. Its pizza sauces are made using passata as a base, with the aim of helping customers create “the ultimate Italian pizza”. The Classica variant comprises Italian tomatoes and a pinch of salt, while Aromatica includes tomatoes, basil, onion and oregano. Organic with homemade taste Leggo’s, described as one of Australia’s most loved brands, is branching out with a certified Organic Pasta Sauce range. According to the brand, each 500g jar carries a Health Star Rating of 4.5, contains six serves of organic vegetables, no artificial colours, artificial flavours, preservatives or added sugar, and comes with reduced salt. Leggo’s says its certified Organic Pasta Sauce range is sure to be a hit with health-conscious consumers searching for healthy and convenient meal options with a homemade taste. Pasta packs protein punch San Remo Pasta Pro is marketed as “the ultimate workout buddy”, containing 37g of protein per serve (70 per cent of recommended daily intake) or the equivalent of six eggs or 125g of cooked chicken breast, while including 25 per cent less carbohydrates than “regular” pasta. The “vegan friendly” pasta is made using a blend of “high quality” durum wheat semolina, gluten, wheat germ, spelt flour, barley flour and oat fibre. Focus on fibre content San Remo Fibre Fest is said to be the only pasta product in Australia that contains prebiotic fibre. The product has a total fibre content claimed to be twice as high as that of “regular pasta”, while containing 25 per cent less carbohydrates.
