Australian Prime members can officially start their holiday shopping early with Amazon’s Prime Big Deal Days now live.
The multi-day sales event kicked off this morning (10 October) and runs until Thursday, 12 October (5pm AEDT). Australians will also have access to deals from Germany, the UK and the US, through Amazon Global Store.
Prime Big Deal Days is well timed to help Australians get a head start on holiday shopping, with new research commissioned by Amazon revealing that 76% of surveyed Australians are worried about potential costs over the holiday season and over half (56%) are worried about the potential cost of gifts.
83% of respondents are looking to make their money go further this holiday season, with around half (47%) of Australians surveyed researching online to find the best price. Around two fifths (40%) are waiting for a sale, and 39% are starting their holiday shopping earlier than previous years to spread the cost.
When it comes to seasonal shopping, 71% of respondents say they intend on starting their holiday shopping before December and just one in five (21%) say they will wait until December. However, the “super keen” are in the minority, with just 1% of Australians surveyed professing to have already finished their holiday shopping.
“We’re so excited to officially launch the brand-new Amazon Prime Big Deal Days event, to give our Prime members another way to save ahead of the holiday season with deals on a huge range of products across all categories,” says Amazon Australia Head of Prime Marcos Regalo.
“We know that Aussies are looking for value and the holidays can be an expensive time of year, so this event allows our members a chance stock up on everything they might need to get ahead, at great discounted prices with fast and free delivery.”
