ALDI has been named Supermarket of the Year 2023 in the Roy Morgan Customer Satisfaction Awards, claiming the award for the seventh time and for the fourth consecutive year.
ALDI’s average customer satisfaction score of 95.7% proves that when shopping at ALDI, “customers don’t ever have to compromise on quality, affordability and great customer service.”
ALDI Australia Group Director Simon Padovani-Ginies says the award win is a reflection of ALDI’s ongoing commitment to providing Aussie shoppers with high quality products at the lowest possible prices.
“We are thrilled to once again be named Australia’s Best Supermarket of the Year by Roy Morgan. This is the fourth consecutive year that we’ve received the award, and at a time when shoppers are continuously seeking better value, we have never been more aware of the need to continue to deliver on our promise to offer Aussies the highest quality products at the lowest possible prices,” he said.
“Award wins such as these are achieved through the efforts of our great team and supply partners. Together with our partners, ALDI’s mission to provide a ‘Good Different’ experience to Australians remains stronger than ever. It is great to receive this recognition and see that our Good Different offering, which focuses on fresh, great value and high quality products, continues to resonate with Aussie shoppers.”
The award win comes as ALDI continues to pass on the savings to shoppers, delivering $3.4 billion in savings to Australians in 2023.
“ALDI’s business model is about saving people money. We aim to cut out unnecessary costs and pass these savings onto customers,” Mr Padovani-Ginies said. “We’re proud that we’ve been able to maintain our Price Promise and deliver real money back in the pockets of Australians when they need it most.
“We recognise the great responsibility we have to our shoppers and the broader community. That is why ALDI’s commitment to our Price Promise remains firm – we won’t be beaten on the cost of your weekly shop.”
ALDI has previously won the Roy Morgan Customer Satisfaction Awards for “Supermarket of the Year” in 2022, 2021, 2020, 2016, 2014 and 2012, and “Mobile Phone Service Provider of the Year” in 2021, 2020, 2019 and 2015, and “Liquor Store of the Year” in 2017.
Roy Morgan CEO Michele Levine says: “Roy Morgan Customer Satisfaction Awards honour the Australian businesses who deliver continuously on their social contract with every customer.
“These awards represent more than 280 of Australia’s most well-known companies competing in 38 categories for the Roy Morgan Customer Satisfaction Awards.
“The data that underpins the Roy Morgan Customer Satisfaction Awards comes from real people telling us how they feel about the brands and companies they interact with. They do so via our Single Source survey, for which we interview over 60,000 Australians each year across the nation.
“Roy Morgan’s Annual Customer Satisfaction Awards are the gold standard in identifying those companies and brands that stay ahead of the pack by knowing what their customers want and delivering it consistently.”
