Woolworths is supporting the Australian Paralympic team throughout July and August with a limited-edition range of ‘Green & Gold’ bakery products.
Three sweet treats will arrive in all Woolworths supermarkets from 24 July. For every product purchased in the Green & Gold range, the retailer will donate $1 to support Paralympics Australia.
The range includes:
- Woolworths Green & Gold Soccer Ball Smash Cake 1.2kg for $38.
- Woolworths Green & Gold Donuts 4pk for $5.75
- Woolworths Green & Gold Iced Cupcakes 9pk for $9.
Customers shopping in stores are also invited to have their own “podium finish” in support of Paralympics Australia with the purchase of a medal token at the checkout. Between 10 July and 13 August, customers can purchase a $3 Gold Token, a $2 Silver Token or a $1 Bronze Token. All proceeds of the medal tokens will be donated to Paralympics Australia.
“As the Fresh Food Partner of the Australian Olympic and Paralympic Teams, we’re getting behind the team in green and gold as they compete in the coming weeks,” says Woolworths Supermarkets Managing Director Natalie Davis.
“We’re delighted to extend our support for Paralympics Australia with the donations from our exclusive bakery range, and would like to thank our customers and team members for taking part in the Medal Token Appeal. Small change can make a big difference and we wish all of our Olympic and Paralympic team good luck achieving their personal bests in Paris.”
The Green & Gold bakery items are available in-store and online while stocks last.
