Drakes announced its outstanding success at the 2024 South Australian Dairy Awards Gala Dinner held at Adelaide Oval on 2 August. 
Drakes La Gelateria gelato secured multiple awards, including Judges Choice, Most Outstanding, Champion Frozen Dairy, making it the first gelato offered by a South Australian supermarket to achieve such prestigious recognition.
Presented by the Dairy Industry Association of Australia and Real Dairy Australia, this year’s South Australian Dairy Awards acknowledged excellence, quality and innovation across more than 30 competition classes, including cheese, yoghurt, fresh and frozen dairy, attracting entrants from all over South Australia.
La Gelateria Autentica offers authentic Italian gelato flavours, made fresh in-store at Drakes Fulham Gardens, using dairy from local South Australian producers.
