First 7-Eleven opens in WA

7-Eleven opened its first West Australian store at 110 High Street in Fremantle on October 30. The franchisee of the store is Bilaal Khan, supported by his brother-in-law Kashif Asheem.

According to 7-Eleven CEO Warren Wilmot, Mr Khan and Mr Asheem were the perfect choice to welcome West Australians to 7-Eleven.

“Bilaal and Kashif are excellent retailers, they run a great store and love making their customers happy,” he said. “They are excited about welcoming the community into their store in Fremantle.”

Customers will also be able to enjoy the much anticipated launch of Krispy Kreme Doughnuts, which will be made in WA and delivered fresh into 7-Eleven stores daily from November 26.

The store offer also includes Slurpee, $1 Coffee, a Bankwest/Commonwealth ATM, Moneygram money transfer service and fresh food such as sandwiches, drinks, sweets, snacks, and top-up groceries.

“Kashif and I are very excited about our new store and also the chance to move closer to some of our family who live in the area,” Mr Khan said. “We are very happy that 7-Eleven has placed their trust in us to be the first franchisees to welcome West Australian consumers to 7-Eleven.”

Four more 7-Eleven stores are scheduled to open in WA before Christmas at Queen and Adelaide streets, Fremantle, Murray Street Mall pop-up store, Subiaco and Hay Street, Perth.

With the aim of opening 75 stores in WA in the next five years, 7-Eleven is interested in both stand-alone stores and fuel sites in areas with good footfall and customer traffic flow.
