ALDI is opening a pop-up pub in Sydney with BrewDog next week, selling the new ALD IPA for just $3.25 a can.
Opening its doors at Hotel Sweeney’s for one night only on Wednesday, 13 December (3 – 7pm), Special Brews by ALDI is promoted as having “all the character you’d expect from an urban pub set against the backdrop of the summery Sydney skyline”.
Consumers wanting an exclusive first taste of the new ALD IPA on the night will have to be quick, though, as there are no bookings. They can collect their punch card at the door and purchase up to three cans of ALD IPA.
“Special Brews by ALDI and our new, exclusive ALD IPA with BrewDog is a first for ALDI Australia, expanding our award-winning range of beers and showing Aussies that they can enjoy a craft experience without the hefty prices,” says ALDI Beer Expert and Buying Director Paul Handley.
“We’re so excited to welcome patrons to this new experience and for Aussies to crack open the new ALD IPA.”
Alongside the new brew, Special Brews will be serving ALDI’s Blackstone Black Edition deli-style chips. Crafted from the “best” Aussie grown potatoes, patrons will have two new premium flavours to choose from: Smoky Chorizo and Truffle & Olive Oil. The new chips are available in ALDI stores across the country for a limited time only, for $3.49.
ALDI and BrewDog will also be slinging limited edition stubby holders and socks to commemorate the occasion.
All proceeds from Special Brews by ALDI will be donated to ALDI’s national charity partner, Camp Quality, to go towards supporting kids facing cancer.
