Amazon Australia has revealed plans to onboard 600 seasonal workers across its Australian fulfilment centres and Amazon Logistics sites to support the Prime Day shopping event in July.
To meet the anticipated customer demand during this time, Amazon is hiring seasonal workers to assist with picking and packing orders for customers around the country. These workers will help ensure Prime members continue to enjoy free and fast delivery on a huge range of eligible items.
“As we prepare for one of our biggest shopping events of the year, we’re excited to welcome hundreds of seasonal workers to our sites across our Australian operations network,” says Amazon Australia HR Operations Director Jacqui Marker.
“These roles offer competitive pay, a safe and inclusive work environment, and the opportunity to build valuable skills in a fast-paced, technology-driven workplace. Whether someone is looking for temporary work or hoping to build a long-term career with Amazon, we’re proud to be creating job opportunities in our local communities while helping us deliver for our customers during Prime Day.”
Prime Day is Amazon’s annual Prime member exclusive shopping event, offering discounts exclusively for Prime members on a huge range of products from everyday essentials to big brand electronics, appliances, books, clothing, toys, homewares and more.
“With Prime Day returning once again this July, there’s no better time to become a Prime member and access the incredible value on offer,” says Arno Lenior, APAC Director of Prime at Amazon Australia.
“Not only will members be able to access epic deals on a huge range of products during the sale event, but also the incredible benefits a membership brings, including fast, free delivery on millions of products, exclusive offers like two years free DoorDash Dashpass, and access to entertainment like Prime Video and Amazon Music.
“We’re proud of the savings Prime can offer members, particularly when Aussies are more value conscious than ever.”
Applications are now open for roles at Amazon sites in NSW, Victoria, Queensland and Western Australia.
