Barker’s is bringing gourmet flavours to shelves with its new range of relishes.
The range includes flavours such as Onion Marmalade Relish, Sundried Tomato & Olive Chutney, New Yorker Mustard Relish and Green Tomato Chutney.
Proudly produced in Geraldine at the foothills of the Southern Alps New Zealand, the “premium quality relishes will enhance every barbequer, home chef or food enthusiasts’ dish into a tasty sensation”.
“We have been experimenting with all the greatest flavour combinations and are proud to introduce a classic range of relishes that will make everyday meals exceptional,” says Barker’s New Zealand Head of Innovation and Development Kim Whitman.
“The Mustard Relish is a sweet tangy flavour and is the perfect addition to meat or vegetable plates. The Green Tomato Chutney is an old-time favourite, offering both a sweet and savory robust flavour. Sustainability is important to Barker’s New Zealand, so all of the new relishes come in a recyclable glass jar that can be reused for storage.”
Onion Marmalade Relish
This relish is described as a “savoury jam , a sweet relish or vegetable marmalade? Whatever you wish to call it, Barker’s New Zealand Onion Marmalade is a delicious addition to a range of dishes”.
Onion Marmalade Relish can be used for charcuterie cheese boards, gourmet pizzas, pastries, and grilled meats.
Sundried Tomato & Olive Chutney
“The tastiest, flavour-packed fruits and vegetables come together in this jar, with sundried tomatoes, onion, capsicum, olives and spices, producing wonderful rice flavours.”
Sundried Tomato & Olive Chutney is said to be an ideal base for soups and sauces, as well as a side dish for canapes or a toasted sandwich.
New Yorker Mustard Relish
Barker’s says, “Feel the essence of the Big Apple in the taste of its most iconic explosion of flavour that’s so versatile, you’ll want to put it on everything.”
New Yorker Mustard Relish can be added to gourmet hot dogs, savoury muffins and cheese scrolls.
Green Tomato Chutney
“More than a spread on a sandwich, try using this relish as a bruschetta topping, pizza base, in casserole or stew or served alongside cold meats, frittatas or pies.”
