The Romeo Retail Group held its ninth annual conference at the Crown Casino in Melbourne on May 5-8.
With more than 300 suppliers in attendance, the event kicked off with a cocktail evening, a formal conference business session and the Romeo’s Annual Supplier Awards Gala Dinner.
The Romeo Group currently trades with 22 Foodland stores, nine IGA stores, two SUPA IGA stores, one liquor store and two newsagencies.
The supplier award winners include:
- 2016 Romeo’s Store Managers Development Program Awards – Menora Foods.
- 2016 Romeo’s Dairy/Frozen Supplier of the Year – Lion Dairy & Drinks.
- 2016 Romeo’s Fresh Foods Supplier of the Year – Goodman Fielder.
- 2016 Romeo’s Non-Foods Supplier of the Year – Mars Petcare.
- 2016 Romeo’s Food Supplier of the Year – Snackbrands Australia.
- 2016 Romeo’s Supplier of the Year – Mars Petcare.
- Antonio & Elisabeth Romeo Award Inductee – Mark Dickeson, Inghams.
- Antonio & Elisabeth Romeo Award Inductee – Harold Tomblin, Merchant Accounting Partners.
The Romeo Retail Group capped off a fantastic weekend and conference by attending the Mother’s Day Racing Carnival at Flemington Racecourse before heading to Etihad Stadium for the chairman’s dinner to watch the Adelaide Crows take on the Western Bulldogs.
