Supporting local

AUSBUY, a not-for-profit association that supports Australian-owned businesses, has released its new AUSBUY Buying Guide to help consumers make informed decisions about buying local.

The new guide features news about some of the major Australian businesses, with this latest issue covering the latest and greatest Australian inventions, product and food trends, along with profiles on some of the AUSBUY members.

AUSBUY CEO Andrew Butler says the Buying Guide is an important point of reference for all Australian consumers.

“We update the AUSBUY Buying Guide twice a year to ensure Australians can easily choose to spend their money with locally owned businesses,” he said. “All Australians can find a way to support local businesses using the Buying Guide, whether they’re the household grocery shopper, a homeowner wanting to install a water tank, or an office manager placing an order for Australian-owned stationery.”

The new-look guide follows the launch of new AUSBUY logos and an updated website in May this year – which was aimed at making it clear and easy for consumers to understand who owns the businesses they buy products and services from.

The website also provides a central location for members to find out about matters that may affect their business, such as trade agreements and legislation changes.
