Bulla Dairy Foods has teamed up with alcoholic beverage company Diageo to create a ‘super premium’ range of Baileys liqueur ice-cream.
The Baileys Original Irish Cream-flavoured ice-cream comes in three flavours: Original, Burnt Toffee and Chocolate. The range is available in 500ml tubs (RRP $7.49) and 50ml mini ice-cream sticks sold in multipacks of six (RRP $7.99).
Bulla has described the ice creams as an “adults-only” offering that captures the Baileys Original Irish Cream flavour.
The ice-creams contain less than 0.5 per cent alcohol. Because of this, Food Standards Australia New Zealand does not require the packaging to declare the alcoholic content.
“This range captures Baileys’ iconic flavour in ice-cream, bringing it to Australian and New Zealand palates for the first time as a decadent take-home delight,” Bulla Dairy Foods Senior Brand Manager – Licensed Meg Wise said.
Diageo Australia Luxury Marketing Manager Andrew Morley said: “The range will whet the appetite of loyal Baileys consumers and take the social experience people associate with Baileys Original Irish Cream liqueur into the freezers of Australian and New Zealand consumers.”
