WHAT’S NEW VITTORIA ‘AUSSIE FIRST’ IN CAPSULE COFFEE Vittoria has launched a coffee range of 18 blends and single origins for Nespresso original machines. Available at Woolworths, the range is presented in “premium” aluminium capsules for “optimal freshness” and reduced packaging. Vittoria says the range is Australian made from 100 per cent Arabica coffee, claiming it provides the only locally roasted aluminium capsules available in Australian supermarkets. To support the launch, Vittoria has extended its long-term partnership with OzHarvest and will donate $1 per kilo sold on the entire range of aluminium capsules. TIC TAC X FACTOR: ‘INTENSE COOLING SENSATION’ Ferrero has introduced Tic Tac X-Freeze, a variant described as an “intense, long-lasting mint that is 99.8 per cent sugar free”. Now available in major supermarkets, general retailers and convenience stores, the Tic Tac X-Freeze taste experience is driven by “unique” cooling crystals which provide the “intense cooling sensation”. The Tic Tac X-Freeze mint is bigger than a standard-sized Tic Tac and comes in a newly designed “convenient” packet. The product is available in Eucalyptus Mint and Spearmint. VIOLET CRUMBLE DARK NOW IN THE BAG Robern Menz, producer of Violet Crumble, has added another format to its portfolio of the choc-covered honeycomb bar: the Dark Bag. The 180g Violet Crumble Dark Bag follows the release of the 50g Dark Bar last year, which was introduced to meet the growing popularity of dark chocolate variations. The new product is available now in all Coles supermarkets (RRP $4.40). The 50g Dark Bar is also available nationally in Coles from June 15, as well as in Coles Express, IGA and from Metcash. In South Australia, the Dark Bar will be ranged in OTR, X Convenience and AMPM stores, as well as at the three Menz FruChoc stores. PEANUT BUTTER SNACKS BAR THE BADDIES Koja Natural Peanut Butter Bars are promoted as being made with only natural wholefood ingredients and no preservatives, emulsifiers, artificial sweeteners, stabilisers or “nasty” additives. Consisting of Australian peanuts “rich in protein and healthy fats”, the bars are available in Choc Chip Crunch, Peanut Caramel, and Chocolate flavours. According to Koja, unlike other snacks that boast ‘no added sugar’ but are high in dried fruits and other natural sweeteners, Koja bars contain less than a teaspoon of sugar per bar, leaving more room for the nutrition and sustainable energy boost the body needs. Koja Natural Peanut Butter Bars are currently available in Coles stores nationwide. 28 RETAIL WORLD JUN, 2020
