OUR SUPPLIERS 30 April Sunny Queen Australia Sunny Queen Australia announced it is doing everything it can to continue supplying its ‘egg-ssential’ smiley-faced eggs and Meal Solutions products, despite the challenging COVID-19 situation. “A key focus area is keeping supermarkets stocked with eggs for consumers’ at-home cooking and nutritional needs during isolation,” Sunny Queen Australia CEO Julie Proctor said. “Our farmers are doing their very best every day to support the heightened demand for eggs. “We are also continuing to deliver our Meal Solutions range to support takeaway cafes and QSRs, catering services, the aged care and health care sectors and all of our other extremely valued customers. This range includes a variety of liquid egg products, delicious omelettes, moreish frittatas, scrumptious fritters, our great tasting French Toast and much more. They are all quick to reheat, nutritious and tasty.” Along with ensuring its customers are well-stocked, Sunny Queen Australia is also doing what it can to boost community spirit during these trying times. This included a social media activation on Facebook, ‘Feel Good Movies’, which ran for 20 days until April 30 where Sunny the Egg posted his feel-good movie of the day, inviting people to guess what the movie is. 23 April PepsiCo Australia PepsiCo Australia announced it had donated $480,000 to Foodbank to help combat the devastating effects of COVID-19. The company also committed to donating NZ$300,000 ($306,600) to the New Zealand Salvation Army Foodbank, to support communities and people most affected in New Zealand. “Food is at the heart of what we do at PepsiCo,” PepsiCo ANZ CEO Danny Celoni said. “We have always been great admirers of the amazing work Foodbank Australia and the New Zealand Salvation Army Foodbank do within their local communities and have been proud to be able to support them over the years. “2020 has been a particularly difficult year for many Australians with drought, bushfires and now COVID-19. I am incredibly proud that we have been able to support our partners Foodbank Australia and the New Zealand Salvation Army Foodbank and provide nutritious meals to provide support to communities across Australia during this difficult time.” In addition, PepsiCo Australia donated $100,000 worth of PepsiCo products to frontliners, to go into kits for health workers across Australia during this crisis. Products include Smith’s, Doritos, Sunbites and Red Rock Deli snacks and Gatorade and G-Active beverages. PepsiCo is also encouraging its employees to donate to The COVID Double Matching Gift Program, which will see the PepsiCo Foundation double match employee donations (up to $2 million) to selected organisations to provide further support to those communities impacted by COVID-19. 30 April Henry Blooms Henry Blooms announced it had delivered over 25 litres of hand sanitiser to Carers NSW and SummitCare to distribute amongst their disability and aged care facilities. A further 625 litres will also be made available to Australian consumers as a complimentary gift with purchase, for products sold via their retail partners and online until stock runs out. “Having been at the forefront of creating health and wellbeing products for over 80 years, we fortunately had all the necessary supplier contacts and access to manufacturing in the early stages of COVID-19,” Henry Blooms Marketing Manager and Head of Product Development Emily Macgregor said. “Thanks to this we have been able to produce a first release of our Australian-made hand sanitiser to distribute amongst facilities in need and our loyal customers.
