Gravox has raised $1900 for St Vincent de Paul Society during the Buy a Boat initiative.
The auction, which went live on 28 November, saw Australians place bids on a range of upcycled gravy boats designed by Tik-Tok pottery artist Shelby Sherritt.
“I had so much fun upcycling the gravy boats,” says Ms Sherritt. “It was an amazing chance to use my creativity for a great cause this Christmas.
“Like most Aussie families, gravy is always on the centrepiece of festive feeds and I’m so excited to think my unique creations will create a focal point on the table this year, and for years to come.”
Of the 10 pre-loved gravy boats, ‘Under The Christmas Tree’ sold for $268 followed by ‘Christmas Tree Baubles’ at $255 and ‘Gingerbread People’ at $232.
“We’re thrilled that there has been so much excitement about these beautiful gravy boats, and that much needed funds have been raised for St Vincent de Paul to help those in need,” says Gravox Head of Marketing Andrea Payne.
Australians who didn’t secure one of the bespoke gravy boats can support by heading into Vinnies to purchase their own gravy boat and at select stores, they will receive a free Gravox product with their purchase, while stocks last.
They can also purchase Gravox at their local grocery retailer, with 20¢ from every specially marked tin being donated to Vinnies.
