Darrell Lea has teamed up with the Ovarian Cancer Research Foundation (OCRF), launching the Darrell Lea OCRF milk chocolate Easter egg.
Along with promising an “indulgent” experience with Darrell Lea’s “creamy” milk chocolate (which is 100% palm oil free and made using 100% sustainably sourced cocoa), the new product also contributes to a very important cause. For every OCRF Egg sold, Darrell Lea will donate 20¢ to the OCRF to help support “world-leading” ovarian cancer research in Australia.
“We’re proud to collaborate with the OCRF to make a meaningful impact in the fight against ovarian cancer,” says Darrell Lea Senior Marketing Manager Lili Despotovic.
“By gifting our OCRF Milk Chocolate Egg this Easter, customers not only experience the joy of sharing in our delicious chocolate but also play a vital role in supporting innovative life-saving research.”
Although ovarian cancer stands as the most lethal reproductive cancer across all genders, says Darrell Lea, bearing a sobering 49% survival rate, it’s still critically underfunded in Australia.
“Darrell Lea’s support will have a huge impact for our community, by raising awareness and increasing research to improve survival rates for women and girls with ovarian cancer,” says OCRF CEO Robin Penty.
“As the leading independent funder of ovarian cancer research in Australia, OCRF currently supports 16 research projects across the country. Proceeds go directly to Australia’s best and most promising ovarian cancer research. We’re egg-cited!”
The Darrell Lea OCRF Milk Chocolate Egg 100g is now available exclusively at Coles nationwide for $8.50.
“We’re very pleased to be supporting our long-time supplier Darrell Lea in this great initiative,” says Coles Acting General Manager of Grocery Via Lavdas. “The Darrell Lea OCRF Milk Chocolate Egg is a fantastic addition to our Coles’ Easter range.”
