Woolworths drops prices on spring essentials

Woolworths says it’s helping customers spend less on their everyday essentials this spring, with more than 450 products in store and online dropping in price.

In addition to the products on the retailer’s seasonal Prices Dropped program, Woolworths is helping customers to find value with the introduction of Lower Shelf Price. This new program will highlight products that Woolworths has lowered the shelf price on to help give more “sustained budget relief” to customers.

“Our customers have told us they’re looking for value more than ever before,” says Woolworths Chief Commercial Officer Paul Harker.

“This spring, we have more than 450 products dropping in price to help them better manage their budgets, especially as Australians reconnect more with family and friends over meals and occasions as the months warm up.

“In addition to our seasonal campaign, we’re also introducing a range of products at a Lower Shelf Price to provide customers with even more ways for their budget to go further for more sustained periods of time at Woolworths.

“All customers need to do is look out for the red Lower Shelf Price ticket in store and online to find the products that have had their shelf price lowered. We continue to work hard to provide customers with value when shopping with us.”

Prices dropped for spring

As the weather warms up, Woolworths has dropped the price of a number of fresh proteins including family meat favourites such as:

  • Champagne Leg Ham Sliced from the deli (was $23.50/kg, now $20/kg)
  • Woolworths Beef Sizzle Schnitzel 400g (was $12, now $10)
  • Woolworths Chicken RSPCA Approved Chicken Wings 1.38kg – 1.8kg (was $9, now $7)

Several pantry staples like salad dressing, snacks, and kid’s yoghurts, as well as everyday household cleaning supplies and personal care items are also dropping in price at Woolworths between 28 August and 26 November.

Lower Shelf Prices

The Lower Shelf Price program will be featured all year round rather than seasonally, with the shelf price for more than 50 products dropping from tomorrow (28 August), with more to come in September.
