Patch Bamboo Bandages, claimed to be the world’s first organic, hypoallergenic compostable wound-care solution, are being launched in Woolworths nationally this month.
A product of “natural solutions” company Nutricare, Patch Strips are said to have reached a global market in just over 12 months and are now available in more than 31 countries throughout Europe, the US and parts of Asia.
“Woolworths has identified the importance of supporting products that push the no-plastic movement as well as having a minimal environmental impact,” Patch founder and CEO James Dutton said in reference to its deal with the retailer. “Consumers want products that are a better option for the health of the individual and the health of the planet.”
According to the company, all Patch Strips are made from organic bamboo fibre, are compostable and 100 per cent plastic free (including packaging).
From March 4, Patch Strips are available in more than 995 Woolworths stores across Australia, found in the personal care/wound care area. The available products include Patch Natural (RRP $7.99), Patch Coconut Oil Kids (RRP $7.99) and Patch Aloe Vera (RRP $7.99).
