ALDI Australia has confirmed plans to open new stores across the eastern seaboard, South Australia (SA) and Western Australia (WA).
In NSW, new stores will open in Maitland, Hillsdale, Wetherill Park, Macarthur Square, Narellan and Riverwood. In Queensland, new locations include Drewvale, Caboolture and Coorparoo. The next stores to open in Victoria are Campbellfield, Bell Park, Tarneit Central, The Glen and Gladstone Park.
In SA, there are plans to open in Adelaide Airport, Kensington Park, Aldinga, Victor Harbor, Ingle Farm and Nuriootpa. New store locations in WA include South Fremantle, Bunbury, Banksia Grove, Busselton, Northam, Yokine and Currambine.
Each of these stores will follow ALDI’s new format, with clearer signage, redesigned shelving and expanded wooden-produce bays, energy-efficient LED lighting and extended chillers.
A spokesperson for ALDI Australia says the company is “eager to bring the ALDI difference to more Australians, offering high-quality products at permanently low prices”.
“We know there is strong demand nationwide for an alternative place to shop,” the spokesperson said. “ALDI offers a supermarket that is like no other in Australia, and it’s our differences that allow us to bring unbeatable value to our customers every day.”
There are currently 475 ALDI stores across the country.
