Market leaders from Australia, New Zealand, Singapore and the US are among the initial list of speakers announced for the alternative proteins conference, AltProteins, in October this year.
Food Frontier’s AltProteins 23 is promoted as an unmissable event for alternative protein manufacturers, suppliers, distributors, businesses, investors, retailers, foodservice establishments, academia and policymakers interested in staying ahead of the fast-growing alternative proteins market.
Among the event’s initial speakers are:
- Eden Brew co-founder and CEO Jim Fader
- Air Protein founder and CEO Dr Lisa Dyson
- Mintel Associate Director Adriana Heinzen
- Buhler Group Collaborative Innovation Lead Southeast Asia and Oceania Dr Aparna Venkatesh
- Change Foods founder and CEO David Bucca
- Food Standards Australia New Zealand Principal Toxicologist Dr Nick Fletcher
- Future Ready Food Safety Director and A*STAR Director Dr Benjamin Smith
- Unigrain co-CEO Andrew May
- Miruku co-founder and CEO Amos Palfreyman
Food Frontier founder and Chair Thomas King says the program has been ‘beefed’ up in response to feedback from the inaugural conference last year.
“There’s been so much growth and change in the alternative protein sector over the last two years,” he says.
“Delegates can expect more concurrent sessions and global perspectives providing thought-provoking conversation and insights across plant-based meats, cultivated meats and precision fermentation industries.
“As the industry’s think tank, Food Frontier is well aware of the issues and challenges facing the sector and we’re confident we’ve curated a program that delivers on most, if not all, of them, as well as allowing time for networking.”
Food Frontier’s AltProteins 23 is on 4 October at Sofitel on Collins, Melbourne. To view the program, initial speaker information and to register to attend, visit altproteinsconference.com.au.
