Mangoes have returned to Australian shelves this month.
To kick off the season, the first tray has been auctioned off for $40,000 at the 2023 Brisbane Markets Mango Auction. The special fundraiser will support Redkite and The Lady Musgrave Trust.
Commenting on the start of the season, Australian Mangoes CEO Brett Kelly says: “Wet weather and changing temperatures have delayed the start of this year’s mango season, however, we’re expecting distribution levels to reach 200,000-plus trays nationally by early October with Aussies expected to indulge in over 150 million mangoes this season.”
Australian Mangoes will be available at all major and independent supermarkets and local food markets.
