BC Snacks partners with Surfing Australia to champion healthy snacking

BC Snacks, “the number one protein bar in Australia’s health food aisles*”, has announced a new partnership with Surfing Australia on 17-18 June as part of a two-day surfing competition and festival celebrating women in surfing.

‘Seas the Day’, set to be the world’s biggest female surf participation competition, took place at Kingscliff Beach, in the Tweed region of Northern NSW. The first event as part of an ongoing partnership, it will feature a tag team contest open to female surfers of all abilities, along with wellness and health-focused keynote speaker sessions and workshops.

The new partnership follows BC Snacks launching its Raspberry Truffle, Chocolate Brownie Crunch, and Dark Chocolate Almond protein bars into more convenient multi-packs. They are available in Coles and Woolworths stores across Australia.

A “100 per cent Australian-made company,” BC Snacks began in 2014 as The Bar Counter and has since gone from strength to strength over the last decade. “Now the number one protein bar in Australia’s health food aisles, BC Snacks deliver delicious protein bars that bring functional nutritional benefits for athletes and all Australians leading a healthy active lifestyle. The BC Snacks range boasts an average Health Star Rating of more than four,” according to the company.

As an ambassador for BC Snacks, Aussie surfing icon Isabella Nichols spoke with attendees about the importance of healthy snacking, and the crucial role of protein in supporting healthy physical activity and surf training.

On the partnership, BC Snacks ambassador Isabella Nichols says, “BC Snacks bars tick every box for my snacking needs and lifestyle. Whether it’s a nutritious snack after my gym workouts to prioritise protein intake, or a delicious treat as part of my travel, their protein bars are so easy to fit into my diet as I juggle, travel, surfing, workouts and seeing friends and family.”

The BC Snacks range caters to all Australians leading a healthy active lifestyle. Whether it’s a post-workout bar that’s high in protein and low in added sugar, or a delicious snack during the working day that’s rich in good fats, BC Snacks have tasty options that fit into all daily routines to deliver the right source of energy.
