Campari Australia has named David Halliday as its new managing director for Australia, New Zealand and the Pacific Islands.
The former Diageo Australia commercial director has extensive FMCG and liquor leadership experience, including roles in the UK, North America and Australia with Coca-Cola (UK and Australia) and Bass Breweries UK.
Mr Halliday will be responsible for driving ongoing growth for Campari Australia’s portfolio in the region, with brands that include Wild Turkey, Skyy Vodka, Appleton Estate and Campari.
“I’m looking forward to joining Campari Australia at this exciting time,” he said. “The business has grown impressively since establishing its Australian office around five years ago and I’m excited to have the opportunity to lead the company’s highly motivated team and to work closely with business partners to spearhead the growth of some of the world’s most loved spirits brands in this region.”
Campari Managing Director for Asia Pacific Franco Peroni says Mr Halliday brings a wealth of knowledge to the role and will make a valuable addition to the Australian team.
“His extensive experience in senior leadership and customer-focused roles in the alcohol industry will be extremely valuable as we continue to expand our portfolio and develop our business in this region,” Mr Peroni said.
“I am confident that under David’s lead, our team will continue to deliver impressive growth of our brands in close collaboration with our trade partners.”
Mr Halliday’s starting date will be named shortly.
