Cleveron 501 – a clever way to click and collect

Estonian-based company, Cleveron has launched what’s said to be a one-of-a-kind grocery robot – Cleveron 501 – that, reportedly, enables grocery pick-up in just 20 seconds.

This is said to be Cleveron’s first grocery robot.

According to Cleveron’s CEO Arno Kütt, while the company is known “for creating innovative click and collect solutions for the world’s biggest retailers”, the launch of Cleveron 501 sees them entering the grocery click and collect market.

“With Cleveron 501 you can pick up your everyday groceries whenever and wherever it is suitable for you,” he said.

“The potential for grocery robots is also tremendous – grocery delivery can now move closer to consumer and offer a much-needed service in places where it has previously been unattainable, like business districts, where there is not enough room for supermarkets.”

A unique solution to click and collect

Cleveron 501 is available in two temperature zones, making it suitable for storing both perishables and frozen goods.

The standard model is said to be a single temperature unit with an adjustable internal temperature between 2-25°C.

It is also said to come with an optional freezer zone with the controlled temperature of -18°C.

Cleveron 501 is available in two sizes, with a maximum hold of up to 276 crates.

The click and collect segment

With the click and collect segment growing, Cleveron 501 is said to offer an excellent experience in this space.

It’s expected that in the US, online food and beverages will grow by 18.2 per cent to $19.89 billion in 2019.

By 2023, reportedly online grocery sales are anticipated to more than quadruple.
