Coles has unveiled a number of management changes aimed at boosting the performance of the supermarket chain.
As part of the changes, Coles Express leadership has shifted from Simon Dowell to Alister Jordan. Mr Dowell is now Chief Customer Officer and Mr Jordon, who was once adviser to former prime minister Kevin Rudd, is Director of Corporate Affairs, Coles Online and Coles Express.
Significant management changes have also occurred in merchandising. George Dymond (previously marketing director and merchandise director) is now Grocery Director. Andy Coleman (previously operations director) is now Deli, Seafood and Convenience Food Director. Both will report directly to Merchandise Director Chris Nicholas.
Former general manager for Victoria Leah Weckert is taking on the newly created role of Director of People and Culture.
Coles Managing Director John Durkan announced the changes on February 3, citing the motive behind the movements as a commitment to improving the customer offer.
