The hot topic of cold chains will be the focus of an open industry briefing session hosted by National GS1 Traceability Advisory Group next month.
The online event will feature keynote speakers, special guests and panel members from across the supply chain, including Australian Food Cold Chain Council (AFCCC) Chairman Mark Mitchell.
“There is a mounting background of community pressure about the economic costs and environmental damage attributed to cold chain system vulnerability,” Mr Mitchell says.
“You can be an important part of the solution through innovation, compliance, waste reduction and safety within your business.”
Attendees will also hear from:
- World Packaging Organisation President Prof Pierre Pienaar
- Australian Institute of Packaging Executive Director Nerida Kelton
- FIAL General Manager Barry McGookin
The event is supported by the Australian Food and Grocery Council (AFGC), Australian Logistics Council (ALC), Department of Industry, Science, Energy and Resources, and Stop Food Waste CRC.
