EDA Australasia wins top honours at POPAI Global Marketing Awards

moet hennessy unit, edaPoint of sale and retail merchandising company EDA Australasia (EDA) won the global award in the ‘Alcoholic Drinks – Permanent’ category for its House of Hennessy project.

EDA developed tailor-made Hennessy-branded prestige POS units to house the range of products in the Hennessy brand, from the Very Special Old Pale (VSOP) cognac to the unique Extra Old (XO) cognac. The units were installed in leading liquor stores in NSW and Victoria in April 2015.

EDA Australasia owner and Managing Director John Atwill said the units were designed to reinforce brand equity and encourage upsell to the premium product range.

“There has been a significant positive reaction to the Hennessy POS units, both from retailers and shoppers,” he said. “Engagement with the category and brand has increased achieving volume sales lifts of more than 170 per cent year on year.”

Commenting on the award win, Mr Atwill said: “To be recognised among our peers on a global scale, in one of the most innovative and competitive categories, is especially outstanding.”
