The Curated Plate, Queensland’s premium food festival, will return 25 July to 3 August 2025. Chef, author and TV presenter Peter Kuruvita is onboard as the festival’s Culinary Director this year and says its final call for brands wanting to feature as part of the program.
Mr Kuruvita is calling on national brands to consider collaborating with Sunshine Coast based venues, chefs and producers to reach the thousands of event goers who experience the festival annually.
The Curated Plate celebrates the Sunshine Coast’s food and drink offering including its abundance of fresh locally grown produce, seafood and meat. With around 30 events expected to make the 2025 program, the festival runs over 10 days and will this year celebrate a range of cuisines, local producers, chefs and restaurants.
Previous years events have included a two-day Asian food extravaganza on the lawns of Spicers Tamarind, exclusive dinners, cooking classes, farm tours, markets, a mad hatter tea party and Indigenous food experiences.
Mr Kuruvita says the 2025 festival will be the biggest celebration of Sunshine Coast flavours the festival has seen in its six-year history including the region’s fresh produce, meat, seafood, abundance of craft beer and distilled drinks. He is also focussing on curating the festival program to showcase a range of cuisines from around the world.
“This year’s festival will have a greater focus on honouring our local producers and offering a smorgasbord of different cuisines,” he said.
