With intensified global awareness on health in the wake of the last 12 months, the area of gut health is predicted to be a major area of growth.
When it comes to immunity, prebiotics and probiotics are expected to take more of a starring role in food and beverage products.
Healthy living company Hemp Oz reports that sales of its Hemp Oz Kombucha throughout the pandemic have been strong. Founder John Leith says the delicate nature of kombucha was researched thoroughly for the product, as the live culture is only beneficial when unpasteurised and kept in a light-proof bottle.
“As Australia’s first hemp kombucha, there is a strong probiotic element combined with the benefits of hemp. Our hemp is rich in dietary fibre omega 3, 6, 9, iron, zinc, magnesium, and vitamins B and as well as containing all nine essential amino acids.”
The company also recently released a range of hemp functional teas, which will be showcased to retailers and distributors at the upcoming 2021 Naturally Good Expo, on 30-31 May at Sydney’s ICC.
With more people also seeking out products for stress relief given the day to day challenges of late, Hemp Oz’s Soothing Tea range infuse hemp with “a powerful blend of natural herbs used in traditional medicine to support and promote health, wellness and a sense of calm.”
The teas include varieties relating to Sleep, Digest, Immune, and Relieve. “This new range offers consumers the benefits of a peaceful night’s sleep, a healthier gut, support for the immune system and relief from inflammation,” Mr Leith said. “We are thrilled with the product and the response.”
Hemp Oz was also recently recognised as the Best Hemp & Wellness Company Asia Pacific the AI Global Media GHP Fitness and Nutrition Awards.
“This award comes at an amazing time and is recognition of the role that hemp and cannabis products play in improving health and wellbeing,” Mr Leith said.
“Our strategy is focused on prevention through the development of health and wellbeing products, awareness through provision of educational programs and treatment through development of innovative medically prescribed treatments to support patients and consumers.”
