Glad Cling Wrap has brought back its original cutter bar following consumer demand.
Proving the importance placed on opinions and feedback from the Australian public, Glad acted quickly to turn people power into action, after formally announcing the cutter bar would return to the base of the box in January this year.
“Since we made the announcement that the cutter bar would return to the base of the box, we’ve worked exhaustively to get the original Glad Cling Wrap packaging Aussies know and love back on shelves as soon as possible,” Marketing Manager Megan Francis said.
“We received an outpouring of positivity from consumers when we shared this great news and we can’t wait for people to reunite with the Glad Wrap and cutter bar.”
To celebrate the launch the brand asked, “What else are you glad for?”– thus inviting Australians to participate in the ‘largest exer cise of gratitude in history’.
For 30 days from June 30, people were encouraged to share personal messages of gratitude and the things they are glad about, through social media, using the #glad everyday hashtag. Participants had the chance to be the beneficiaries of ‘Random Acts of Glad’, receiving special gifts in response to their tokens of gratitude.
The digital and social media campaign was supported by two activations encouraging people to post messages of gladness on the ‘Great Wall of Glad’ at Westfield Sydney and Westfield Parramatta, NSW.
In addition to the return of the original cutter bar, consumers will also continue to receive the benefits of other product improvements, including 50 per cent better cling, a stronger box and an easy-to-roll feature, at no extra cost.
