Nestlé brand Harvest Gourmet has expanded its plant-based meat offering, launching two new varieties, Veggie Balls and Veggie Bakes – Italian Style.
According to the brand, the new products are designed to take the stress out of plant-based eating, allowing Australians to make “simple and tasty vegetarian meal switches”.
- Veggie Balls. With a claimed 24g of veggies per serve, these “bite-sized” balls are a “delicious mix” of veggies of carrots, peas, and corn. Harvest Gourmet suggests adding Veggie Balls to a salad, enjoying them as a side dish or having them as a snack.
- Veggie Bakes – Italian Style. With a claimed 47g of veggies per serve, “bring Italian flavours to life” with zucchini, tomato, vegetarian, mozzarella, herbs, and spices. Harvest Gourmet recommends pairing the Veggie Bake with a salad or adding it to a burger, wrap or sandwich.
“We understand the increasing appetite for meat-free alternatives as Australians become increasingly conscious of their food choices, particularly plant-based cooking at home,” says Nestlé Head of Marketing – Foods Nicole Fox.
“Our latest Harvest Gourmet products offer delicious plant-based options for consumers looking to reduce meat consumption in their diet and integrate simple veggie-based meals into their weekly meal repertoire.”
The Harvest Gourmet Veggie Balls and Veggie Bakes are now available in Coles nationally with an RRP of $6 for two servings. The tray and cardboard sleeves can be recycled at home and the film via REDcycle bins in participating supermarkets.
