HUBBED partnership a Wish come true

Parcel collection network HUBBED has announced a partnership with one of the world’s largest e-commerce marketplaces, Wish. The partnership will provide customers across Australia with a convenient, cost-effective, and sustainable ‘Click & Pick’ solution.

Click & Pick is the alternative to click and collect for ecommerce merchants who don’t have a physical shopfront. It allows ecommerce merchants to use the HUBBED network – including local BP service stations and independent retailers – to offer click and collect to their customers.

David McLean, the Founder and CEO of HUBBED says consumers are demanding more convenient, secure, and cost-effective delivery choices – especially in the lead-up to Christmas.

“The message for ecommerce merchants is clear – if you want to enhance customer experience and generate repeat purchases, you must provide greater choice and control. Wish has listened to this callout and is giving their customers just that,” he says.

HUBBED’s recent research study has revealed that 70% of consumers prefer to be given flexibility when it comes to picking up their parcels. Over half of customers (53%) prefer a collection point that allows them to pick up their packages after work on weekdays and 17% prefer to pick them up on the weekend at a location close to home. Customers prefer the convenience of choosing when and where they collect their parcels rather than waiting for a courier to deliver them.

Further research has shown that delivery prices influence shopping behaviour. The majority of shoppers (83%) say that they are highly likely to use a pick-up location for parcels if the delivery cost was cheaper than standard shipping.

The partnership announcement follows the recent news of HUBBED acquiring Parcelpoint, creating Australia’s largest national alternative in the collection point space. The acquisition enabled HUBBED to expand its national footprint of local delivery, pickup drop off and returns locations to more than 3000 points across Australia.
