Lidl GB trials Click, Reserve & Collect

Lidl shoppers in Great Britain now have the option of reserving a ‘Middle of Lidl’ product via the Lidl Plus app before it launches in store.

The supermarket began trialling the Click, Reserve & Collect service in April, giving customers the chance to secure highly-sought items up to two weeks before appearing in store.

“We’re always exploring bold new ways to enhance our customers’ shopping experience and are pleased to be in a position where we can bring this latest trial to life,” said Jassine Ouali, Chief Customer Officer from Lidl GB.

“We know how popular our Middle of Lidl deals are, and this trial will give our Lidl Plus customers the chance to secure a must-have item before it hits the shelves. We can’t wait to see how our customers respond.”

The trial builds on the innovation and success of Lidl Plus since it launched in 2020. The rewards app now has over 100 million users globally – a testament to the value and benefits it offers customers.

Since establishing itself in Great Britain in 1994, Lidl GB has experienced continuous growth and today has over 35,000 employees, over 970 stores and 14 distribution centres in England, Scotland and Wales.

Part of the Schwarz retail group, Lidle has around 375,000 employees globally, currently operates over 12,350 stores and more than 225 logistics centres and warehouses in 31 countries.
