South Australia is experiencing increased retail confidence thanks to improving turnover results that are bucking the national trend.
In the 12 months to March, SA recorded a 3.3 per cent rise in turnover – the best result in the whole of Australia.
The result is being presented as an exciting opportunity for national businesses and franchisees to look at Adelaide as a viable option for expansion.
Rundle Mall Plaza in Adelaide’s premier retail shopping precinct, Rundle Mall, is undergoing a major redevelopment set to be finished later this year.
It has already lured Swedish fashion giant H&M, which will open its first Adelaide store in the redeveloped Plaza, and is seeking other new tenants.
The redevelopment will reportedly see the four lower levels of the building completely transformed. The lower ground level will house a tech hub, the ground floor will be dedicated to retail, level one will be a dining precinct, and level two will become a health and wellbeing precinct.
