Masters Milk celebrates 100 years

This year marks 100 years since Harold and Thelma Masters established Masters Milk in Byford, Western Australia.

To celebrate, the brand is kicking off a year of celebrations by launching an exhibition at WA Museum Boola Bardip, showcasing a century of WA’s rich dairy heritage.

Now open until 30 March, the eight-week exhibition features a curated display of Masters’ legacy, including vintage advertising, historical artefacts and memorable items that reflect the brand’s heritage and impact in WA.

Michael Partridge, a fourth-generation dairy farmer whose family has proudly supplied Masters for many decades, played a pivotal role in bringing the exhibition to life. His contributions, including vintage packaging, old bottles, and butter churns, highlight the brand’s enduring legacy and connection to WA.

“It’s not just about producing high-quality dairy; it’s about the shared history we’ve built, and the trust Western Australian families have placed in us over the decades,” he says. “Being part of this exhibition and sharing these pieces of Masters’ past has been a proud way to honour its 100-year milestone and celebrate a brand that holds such deep roots in our community.”

With Masters’ factory located in Bentley, Perth, the brand says it’s proudly WA made and Australian owned.

“100 years is no small feat and reaching this milestone is a testament to Masters spirit and innovation,” says Bega Executive General Manager Darryn Wallace.

“As we commence 100th birthday celebrations, we honour the legacy of Mr and Mrs Masters who first established the brand in 1925, while also looking forward to another century of WA dairy goodness.”
