National Pies has brought back its Hottest Pie Hundred competition with entrants voting for the most “pie-tastic” tune on the official playlist.
The Tasmanian pie company has curated a Spotify playlist of 100 “tasty” pie tunes for entrants to choose from. One entrant will win 100 National Pies and 100 cans of Tassie beer, along with some National Pies gear.
National Pies CEO Geraldine Tebbutt says there’s plenty of excitement around this year’s playlist and competition.
“We have a very exciting new playlist, which is bigger and better, because all 100 songs are eligible for voting,” she says.
“Lots of fans out there really enjoy listening to our Hottest Pie Hundred playlist at a backyard barbeque or on a road trip – it’s an Aussie staple for pie fans.
“Of course, people love to hear the classic pie songs, but it’s also fun to discover more unique tunes and learn how many songs about pies actually exist.”
Participants can enter through National Pies’ Instagram or Facebook page. After following National Pies on Instagram and Facebook and tagging two friends, a link will be provided to vote for the tastiest pie tune. Unlimited voting is open from now until Friday, 19 January for Australian residents aged 18 years or older.
National Pies is celebrating National Pie Day on Tuesday, 23 January, where 2024’s Hottest Pie Song and the winner of the competition will be announced at 10am AEST across all socials.
