Following an extensive recruitment process, the Board of Procurement Australia appointed Steven Chaur as the organisation’s new Chief Executive Officer.
Procurement Australia Chair Glenn Patterson says: “We are thrilled to announce the appointment of Steven as the incoming CEO of Procurement Australia, as we enter another exciting era of transformation and growth.”
With an impressive executive career spanning leadership roles in ASX-listed companies, Private Equity Firms, and multinational organisations, Mr Chaur brings a wealth of experience in delivering sustainable value and growth across diverse sectors.
Renowned for his high capacity to foster relationships, challenge norms and lead innovation, Mr Chaur’s experience extends to organisational cultural development, change management, strategic thought leadership, global supply chains, and strategic procurement.
“Steven’s expertise in consumer foods and beverages, agricultural food production, and specialised B2B industrial products will be invaluable to Procurement Australia, its members and suppliers,” Mr Patterson said.
“As we welcome Steven to the organisation, I also take this opportunity to acknowledge and thank Brendan Hoare for his exemplary leadership as Procurement Australia’s Interim CEO over the last 12 months.
“Under Brendan’s steady leadership, Brendan refined the key operating elements of the business, implemented a culture of shared leadership, built on existing strengths and established a path to a leaner, more focussed and cohesive business. Looking to the future, the Board is confident that Mr Chaur is the right person for the CEO role, as the company enters a phase of transformation with its new three-year Strategic Plan and IT Strategy and Roadmap on the near horizon.
