National Media, recent acquirers and new organisers of Foodservice Australia, have announced the launch of the Commercial Kitchen Show – a “groundbreaking” event for the foodservice, hospitality, and baking equipment sector.
Scheduled to take place at the Melbourne Convention & Exhibition Centre on 18-20 May 2025, Commercial Kitchen Show will showcase the latest innovations and technologies powering the ‘engine room’ of commercial and institutional foodservice organisations.
“This is an exciting new platform that’s completely dedicated to bringing together all the key players involved in designing, outfitting and supplying equipment and supplies for professional kitchens and front-of-house environments,” said Mike Hill, Portfolio Director at National Media.
“Our goal is to create the definitive annual event that puts foodservice E&S centre stage, and gives industry professionals and end-user operators – from all types of food and beverage operations and facilities – a place to explore the latest trends and product advancements, expand their knowledge, and connect with industry experts who can provide insights to enhance their foodservice operations.”
What’s on
The show is tailored to serve the diverse verticals within the foodservice equipment industry, including full-service and casual dining restaurants, QSRs, and cafes, as well as retail food operators like petrol stations, convenience stores, and supermarkets.
The exhibit hall will cover a diverse range of automated, smart equipment, self-serving technology, space-saving appliances, storage solutions, sustainable packaging and tableware products – essentially everything needed to design, fit out and operate a professional kitchen or hospitality business.
Exhibitors will showcase preparation, cooking and refrigeration equipment, ice and beverage dispensers, bakery equipment, merchandisers and cabinets, coffee machines, equipment for ice-cream, gelato, soft-serve and shakes, meal delivery, preparation and storage solutions, washing and waste management, and fitout and design solutions.
The event will be co-located with several conferences and chef competitions.
“We anticipate the Commercial Kitchen Show will greatly benefit from our co-located conferences, which focus on key sectors like QSR and Aged Care, attracting major industry players,” Mr Hill said.
“Additionally, our two exciting competitions, the Australian Chef of the Year and the Australian Pizza Challenge, will feature some of the country’s most talented chefs. Together, these elements help create a vibrant ecosystem for the Commercial Kitchen Show.”
Other highlights at the event will include the Equipment Innovations Showcase & Awards, VIP Lounge, guided tours and a curated hosted buyers program specifically for professionals responsible for purchasing foodservice equipment and supplies.
Targeted event
“As seasoned organisers, we recognise the challenges of navigating large, multifaceted events where meeting the right people can be difficult. Our goal is to craft an event that is focused, targeted, and highly relevant for buyers and suppliers in the foodservice, catering, and hospitality equipment sectors,” said Mr Hill.
Commercial Kitchen Show is organised by National Media, who have a growing portfolio of events in the food and beverage sector, including Foodservice Australia, Pizza Pasta & Italian Food Show, Queensland Restaurant & Foodservice Show and Restaurant Technology Expo.
