An ambitious start up brand will be unveiling its new range of unique oat creme desserts at Naturally Good 2023.
Compassion Creamery, which last year won the Naturally Good Pitchfest competition for their highly innovative product, will be showing off its two newest products – an oat cream cheese Chocolate Creme Mousse and an Oat Milk Lemon Curd.
The brainchild of chemical engineer turned entrepreneur Sarah Qian, Compassion Creamery is unique in the vegan cheese space, as crafters of the world’s first oat creme cheese.
Since launching in the past year, Ms Qian says the most popular product is its Everything-but-the-Bagel Oat Creme Cheese.
“We marry together traditional dairy cheese making techniques with an innovative base crafted from 100 per cent Australian grown oats, making it a very unique product,” Ms Qian said. “We craft our oat milk from scratch before culturing and fermenting and more than 85 per cent of our ingredients are Australian sourced.”
Ms Qian developed the idea for the unique crème cheese when several of her colleagues continuously mentioned their love of oat milk. “I went work and spent 18 months developing more than 250 versions in R&D to create a vegan cheese that is healthier and kinder for our planet,” she said.
“We are currently stocked outlets in Sydney’s Inner West such as Brooklyn Boy Bagels and are amping up production to move into the retail space. We also welcome retailers interested in stocking our Oat Creme Cheese in their stores to reach out to us via our website.”
Naturally Good 2023 will be held at Sydney’s ICC from 5-6 June.
